We are finally at the doorstep of our National Election 2008. This is a great opportunity for us to select our future leaders who can lead our beloved Bangladesh into a new golden era. We all believe that our motherland has the potential to become a number one country in the world if we can select our true leaders. Therefore, we will request you to vote for leaders whom you believe can truly lead us and make Bangladesh a prosperous and peaceful country.

We have to select

· Education over darkness.
· Dignified personality over vulgarism.
· Young and new leadership over old and failed leadership.
· Peace over terrorism.
· Honesty over Corruption.
· Your local son over outsider.


Dr. Hasan Mahmud, a contestant from Chittagong-6, Rangunia, is one of those candidates whom we believe has the potential to make our dream come true. Thus, we request everyone, especially to the people of Rangunia, to support Dr Hasan Mahmud.

We, the Bangladeshi students from all around the globe started our journey with Dr. Hasan nearly 12 months back. We are fortunate to see Dr. Hasan very closely. Today at this very last moment, on the eve of the election, we can describe Dr. Hasan as a true leader. A leader: who will defy the given, who will challenge the equilibrium, who will subvert the paradigm, who will outline new paths for the others to follow. Welcome to the election blog of Dr. Hasan Mahmud. He is contesting in the national election of Bangladesh, 2008 from Chittagong-6, Rangunia. He has born in 5th June, 1963 at Rangunia, Chittagong.

Dr. Hasan is one of the highly qualified candidates among all the participants in the 2008 National Election. He received his Bachelors and Masters from the University of Chittagong. Then he completed another couple of Masters from European Universities in different fields to broaden his breadth of knowledge. Finally, he was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a renowned University in Europe.

In his whole career, Dr Hasan always devoted his life for the betterment of our motherland. Even in his PhD degree he worked on Arsenic problem, which is a big life threatening problem for millions of people in Bangladesh. As soon as Dr Hasan completed his journey towards acquiring knowledge, he returned to serve our country by applying his innovative ideas and wisdom. Dr Hasan is rare combination of intellectuality and patriotism, which is very rare in our so called politicians.

We are some students from all around the globe came together with Dr. Hasan and bringing this blog to you on behalf of Dr Hasan.

We are motivated by Dr. Hasan who believes that if we, the Bangladeshi, can design and build Empire State Building, come out with new ideas such as Youtube, why can’t we utilize our knowledge to build up our own Bangladesh. · To the best of our knowledge Dr. Hasan is the first person to use information technology in his campaign of our national election in an interactive way and with a future vision.
· Dr. Hasan is the perfect person to deal with our Arsenic problem as his PhD concentration was on Arsenic.
· Dr Hasan has the intellectual ability to bring the information technology to the welfare of rural people in Rangunia
